29 Sep 2011Wansbeck LDS, SBH Revised Draw and Instructions
The draw for the Wansbeck Small Boats Head 2011 version 2 is below. A very minor change to sneak one extra single in for a tardy entrant, plus one scratched single.
Revised draw
Unfortunately the council has not drained the river for us this year so we are unable due to safety concerns (submerged hazards towards the river mouth) to run the full distance. The course therefore will be around 3000 metres long.
We will be starting boating for the LDS at 9.30am for an 11am start. Boating for the SBH will be 12.30pm for a 2pm start. Please check the competitor's instructions and map of the course.

12 Oct 2009Norman Howitt

We are very sorry to announce that Norman Howitt, the Club's
President, passed away on Monday 12th October at the end of a very
brief stay in hospital. He had spent the Sunday morning at the Club
as usual, helping members young and old. Norman's rowing career with
Cambois Rowing Club was lifelong, and he served as an umpire in the
region. For many newcomers to the Club and to the sport, of all
ages, Norman's was the friendly face that particularly made them feel
welcome while they were settling in. He will be greatly missed.
